Christmas illuminations in Japan ?

IAESTE Christmas Party

Merry Christmas!??

How are you spending Christmas this year?

Japanese members of IAESTE also had a Christmas party!

We had a lot of fun exchanging gifts and playing games.

This time, we would like to introduce some of the most beautiful illumination spots! It is said that there are about 700~800 illumination spots in Japan, and they are all artistic. Huis Ten Bosch in Negasaki Prefecture, Marunouchi in Tokyo, and Yokohama in Kanagawa Prefecture are popular spots that attract many people.

【Huis Ten Bosch】

Huis Ten Bosch

Huis Ten Bosch, with its "Kingdom of Light" theme, had been ranked first in the "Japan National Illumination Ranking" for nine consecutive years. The view in the clear winter air is exceptionally beautiful. The place in the photo has a tunnel of pure white light, "Arch of Eternity," where projection mapping is also performed, creating a fantastic and heart warming experience. In addition to this, there are many other sights to see in the vast grounds!

【Marunouchi】

Marunouchi

This year marks the 21st year of the Marunouchi illmination. The 1.2-km street is decorated in champagne gold with approximately 1.2 million light bubls, and the spectacular atmosphere created by more than 340 trees is breathtaking. This is one of the most popular in Tokyo.

【Yokohama】

Yokohama

The illumination covers a total length of 1.5km and is decorated with approximately 500,000 LED bulbs. This is one of Yokohama's largest-scale illuminations, illuminating the streets of Minato Mirai with beautiful light. Continuing from last year, the power used is clean energy generated by solar and wind power. The blue-white world as shown in the photo will give us a wonderful time!
